In August 2026, over 4,000 Freshman will arrive in Charleston area colleges. We believe we will have between 500 and 750 Sentinels.
Our mission is simple: help students succeed—not just survive.

Don't Let Your Child Become a Statistic
Every year, over 550,000 college freshmen drop out—that’s nearly one in four students. The top reasons are the stress from mental, emotional, and social pressures that can overwhelm even the most prepared.
Dropping out isn’t just a setback. It can lead to long-term emotional and financial challenges, and if you read the news, even worse.

How it Started
In 2013, I designed and helped fund a 6-credit class at The College of Charleston that I helped teach (pro-bono) for over 11-years. Called ImpactX, it is now the #1 class at the School of Business, and there are 6 of them! This led to a tenure of over 8 years on the Board of Trustees of the School of Business, and 4-years as part of the Executive Committee. To say I was immersed in The College of Charleston would be an understatement.
One of my children went to CofC, so I was blessed to be here as her Sentinel. I have two other children, one went to University of Delaware, and one to Quinnipiac. I so wish this platform was available during their Freshman years at school because I was not there.
I have watched too many Freshman fail, crash and burn, and at times even worse. I know that if Freshman had independent safe paces, a healthy meal in safe surroundings every week, a shoulder to cry on, and a local mentor, they would be far less likely to find themselves so stressed and emotionally broken.
I have seen what Freshman go through, including my own, hence I created this platform.
